I have worked with the team at Nez on a freelance basis since December 2016. I was initially involved in user research, helping them to understand user food-purchasing behaviour across the day. This research informed my design of the initial wireframes and prototype for the app, which was then built and further refined over the first four months of 2017.
During the build period I ran user testing sessions on-site in a cafe in Marylebone. The app uses bluetooth beacons to authenticate the offers that users can claim so it was essential to test that the UX of the app ‘on the ground’ in this way.
The app is now live in the iOS App Store offering food-to-go offers in the Fitzrovia area—expansion across London is planned for this year.
